Really? These kids will take care of me some day!?

What is wrong with these kids today?! I don't ever remember being this rude or disrespectful to my teachers. Sure I skipped school and didn't always turn in my homework, but I didn't curse at them or refuse to do what they told me to. AND these parents! Quit making excuses for your child! YES, they did do it and YES the teacher is right. Get over yourself. Sometimes I want to videotape these kids doing what they do and then show it to ALL the parents at curriculum night. And seriously - who comes to curriculum night. Nobody cares. Nobody cares enough about their child's education to care about what we are teaching them...well, maybe a couple parents. But those parents are the ones with the kids that don't need any help. Whew- I'm frustrated.

AND - I just went to the restroom and instead of locking the door - I turned off the lights instead of locking the door? I've got problems...

I'm going to my two meetings after school and I'm going to drink my 3 cokes today and then I'm going to go run, like 5 miles - I'll probably thinking nice, happy thoughts the whole time I'm running......

Ear Infections..not fun

We are now on the 7th week of Audrey having an ear infection. I'm so not excited. We are getting the opportunity to visit with the ENT at the end of this one. Two surgeries in three months, I'm not excited about our future hospital bills!

All else is going well. Emma's throat healed perfectly and no signs of strep! Church was great last night - gotta love some Pastor Keith!

Growing, Growing, and Growing

The girls are both growing like weeds! Since Emma had her tonsils and adnoids out she has been eating like a cow! I actually can't even see her ribs anymore! She might be able to hold up a pair of pants pretty soon without me having to tighten the belt line! Some of her favorite things to say right now are... nah, nah, na, nah, nah and shake your booty. She is fully potty trained now! She has been wearing her "big girl panties" for about 2 weeks now! Yea!!!

Audrey is quite the little walker now. She is starting to try to run a little bit, that usually ends up in a face-plant on the floor. She has just began to notice cartoons and laughs and screams at them. She enjoys pushing her sister, yelling "no" at the top of her lungs, and reading books. She screams, really loudly, anytime she sees something exciting. This often leads to some very interesting looks from strangers.

Over all, the McLain family is doing fantastic! We are fully in to the Total Money Makeover right now and it's hard, but great. We are really enjoying our church, Celebration Covenant. With church, work, and the girls, life is busy - but great. Pictures will come soon....

How big

Emma and Audrey had a great time playing! Audrey has figured out how to climb on chairs and then to jump on them. They are both getting soooooo big and they love each other tremendously!

Halloween

Emma had a good time dancing in the front yard and hugging on Audrey. Audrey had a hard time figuring out the grass though!

We decided to go to our church carnival instead of trick or treating and it was sooo fun! I had no idea that they go ALL OUT! Emma had tons of fun playing and getting candy. Audrey did really good! She sat in the stroller and people watched most of the night.

Couple of New Pics of the Girls...

Audrey- 10 months. She now has her two bottom teeth and one on the top is coming in! She's had a very busy weekend!

I would like to point out that neither myself nor Heath had anything to do with this incredible outfit. Evidently she is a ballerina about to go out into some major water.
